At Brooks Real Estate Management, we are committed to facilitating the development of the commercial districts of Albany, Georgia by partnering with commercial and retail clients to locate properties that help them flourish. Because when our partners flourish, our entire community prospers. Our roots in the area run deep, starting when Bob Brooks moved to Albany with the military back in 1961. After leaving the Army, he went to work for his father-in-law and would eventually be named general manager of Miles Furniture. He opened Brooks Furniture in 1981, and by 1989 he had acquired the Midtown Shopping Center and Midtown Plaza, converting them to a furniture store which later moved to the former JC Penney Building. Brooks Furniture is still thriving to this day with his son Robert at the helm. Since then, Bob Brooks has acquired nearly 200 rentable commercial units over 50 years of building his portfolio. His company now offers affordable commercial space in all areas of Albany, Georgia and he manages each of his properties with his wife. Brooks Properties works with each of their Midtown, Westside, and Downtown businesses to help build a stronger community.
